An intense work week came to a close, and after signing off, I decided to process the remaining astrophotography data I captured with my new rig over the past couple of weeks.
At first, I wasn’t sure what to think of the smart telescope’s imaging process and the resulting images. I struggled with the realization that I could no longer tinker with my classic setup while out in the field. But as I worked through my PixInsight processing workflow, it slowly dawned on me that the telescope’s resolution actually exceeded what I had achieved with my previous optics.
It turns out that this 250 mm telescope produces sharper images than my old 500 mm lens, a lesson I hadn’t expected to learn. I’m genuinely happy that I can continue building on the processing skills I’ve developed over the years.
