I avoided spending time outside since last Thursday. Even at 10 PM, the temperature was still 28°C. The alternative would have been heading out at 5 in the morning, which is currently well outside my comfort zone – one that has become rather narrow lately – so I eventually bit the bullet.
The table and chairs were still standing there when I walked past. I couldn’t help but wonder whether their owners ever came outside later that evening. Or whether they, too, decided it was simply too hot.
