Traveling internationally with astrophotography gear, as well as a multitude of medical devices to prevent infections due to being immunocompromised, requires various accommodations. From packing (what a great invention packing cubes are!) to arranging cab rides and assistance at the airport, it requires all the executive (pre-)planning my available spoons can muster – with all these short nights preventing a proper refill of the energy levels to boot.
These accommodations often come with additional costs. As long as I can afford them and they don’t significantly eat into my savings, it’s all good.
I’m looking forward to the trip, but it’s going to be even hotter than at home. At least we’re supposed to have working air conditioning at the hotel. 🤞🏼
