Another super-hot day prompted us to drive out to Santa Gertrudis, a picturesque little town in the center of the island, to eat sensational sandwiches at “Bar Costa” and top off the visit with some fresh ice cream and sorbet. Delicious food, but we were also very happy to enjoy the chilled climate of our air-conditioned rental car for the drive across the island.

This gave us enough of an energy recharge to spend the sunset on “our” cliff, return to the apartment hotel, and then head back out once the Moon had set to capture a more refined version of the Milky Way. And with some time left, I couldn’t resist taking a couple more deep-sky astro shots, now that I have unrestricted access to the southern sky.
