Sundays are for preparation. The morning begins with organizing my weekly medication. In the early evening, I trim my beard, and every other Sunday, I shave my head.
Along with showering, shaving my neck and cheeks, and grooming my beard and moustache, this routine keeps me standing for nearly two hours.
It’s fatiguing – but satisfying once completed. The paresthesia in my calves and feet shifts from an intense, hot sensation in my soles to a steady, almost comforting buzz. A reminder that I’ve pushed just enough.
Now it’s time to recharge for me, and for the clipper.
