Double whammy: from zero astro gear set up to having both cameras ready – and shooting – in just a couple of weeks.
While I’m still working on perfecting the polar alignment, I grabbed the opportunity to try to capture the Lyrid meteor shower. The moon is already very bright, so deep-sky photos might have to wait. Also, shooting in an urban Bortle 6 sky has me wondering how many streakers will actually show up once I review the captures.
