As I was checking the weather forecast for this week, it predicted rainy weather starting tomorrow. Instead of rowing after work, I decided to enjoy some late-winter, late-afternoon vibes while taking a walk. At the same time, I could observe construction preparation work progressing on the renovation of a local school gym.
Today’s walk was another exercise in pacing. I completed the first half of the walk without any aid, and in the second half, I used support. The main parameter of prolonged control is walking speed. The most comprehensive comparison is of the portions of speed-boost items in a racing game. Once I’ve used them up, I need a more leisurely tempo to avoid stumbling. I felt myself guzzling through my speed-boost for the entire first half. Returning home, I could feel the energy reserves running on fumes. But I made it, with a picture of Oerlikon highrises.
