Today at 14:46 UTC, the sun crossed the equator — marking the moment of the equinox.
For the next six months, the Northern Hemisphere will receive more daylight than darkness.
In general understanding, today marks the start of Spring.
In my world, however, Spring has been in action since March 1st — the meteorological starting date.
By the books, winter is now definitely a thing of the past. But as recent weather patterns have shown, we might still see snow once humid air masses meet cold air from the North Pole.
The Zurichberg hill shown in the photo might even get a light dusting again.
Until then, let’s enjoy the pleasant spring sun.
