Starting late spring, we can sometimes hear ducks quacking in the neighborhood. It looks like there’s a resident couple of running ducks close to home. Even though they look like they’re exploring backyard gardens for nesting sites, I read that people like our neighbors keep them as pets/domestic livestock. They’re probably foraging for snails after the recent rain showers.
I like learning little bits of trivia about my surroundings, even after more than ten years of living here.
